A COMPLETE PRODUCTION UNIT FOR WAFFLES MASDAC SDR-AWE SERIES 50 DETAILS OF THE MACHINE This unit has previusly been used for the production of Belgian Waffles. The Brussels Waffles or Belgian Waffle is prepared from a yeast-leavened batter, and is often a more light and crisp waffle compared to other waffle varieties. The maker/ oven is equipped with removeble plates to produce 2 sizes 94x94 mm (4 of per platen) and 190x196 mm (1 off per platen). The machine consists of 2 chain and lug conveying systems placed parallel to each other, and connected by chain driven cross transfer units. The front conveyor forms the depositing sections,whilst the rear conveyor passes through the major upper and lower baking elements. The system handles two part platens that fully encase the batter during the baking phase. After depositing, the loaded platens are closed, and pass through the electrically heated baking zones. A turn over device is located half way along the rear (top and bottom) baking zones ensuring even bake to both the top and bottom of the products. The operation is continuous and managed by a Mitsubishi FX2 series PLC-control system. Further included with this system is a piston depositor designed to automatically deposit batter into the open platen as they pass along the deposting conveyor. The depositor is of a cantilevered style and can be rolled in or out of the Masdac deposting bay.
